In the month of revival and before the “I’m Israeli” days, the sixth grade students met to hear stories of those who fell from the Iron Swords War. We invited Moran Alfasi, mother of Hadar Alfasi, a 2nd grade student, to tell about the disaster that befell their family. The late Major Nati David Alfasi fell in the war of iron swords in Khan Yunis in Gaza, and since then his family has been perpetuating his legacy. In the lecture, the children heard about Nati’s character, the values that accompanied and led him on his way, stories from acquaintances and relatives, About the “Be Nati!” association they founded in his memory and the story of his heroism and his fall in the war. At the end, the children wrote letters to Nati’s family, his wife Lashahar, and Eitan Yosef, their one-year-old and three-month-old son, and received stickers to continue commemorating him.
